YUNITY Park
Bucharest's SDG Landmark
The climate crisis is, without a doubt, the greatest challenge humanity faces. It affects us all, and its implications for the real estate sector are profound.
The strategic priority of Genesis Property—the developer, owner, and operator of the YUNITY Park campus—is the reduction of carbon emissions across its entire building portfolio.
This effort is scientifically validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and aims to contribute to achieving the Paris Agreement's goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels by 2050.
Our Goal: We will become a net-zero carbon company by 2040.
Genesis Property's ambition is to complete the decarbonization process 10 years ahead of the target set by the European Commission's Green Deal, achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.
Sustainability at the Heart of YUNITY Park
The YUNITY Park project is aligned with the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labor, and environmental protection, as well as the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
YUNITY Park is developed and operated to significantly improve the environment while enhancing the quality of life for the entire YUNITY community, both now and for future generations.
Genesis FM, the company managing YUNITY Park, is the first in Romania's real estate sector to obtain the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) Registration Certificate, a prestigious milestone reflecting concrete initiatives to optimize processes, reduce environmental impact, and use resources efficiently.
This certification provides a robust management tool to continuously measure and minimize the environmental footprint of company operations. Additionally, the company's environmental management system is already recognized through ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
